25 YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS WERE ABLE TO START AND EXPAND THEIR VENTURE IN JAFFNA

Youth Business Sri Lanka (YBSL) implemented by Ceylon Chamber of Commerce with the partnership of Standard Charted Bank programme has been implemented in Jaffna by Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yarlpanam (CCIY). The success of the earlier batch motivated the SCB to extend more loans to Jaffna where new 25 young entrepreneurs were able to receive credit support from Standard Charted Bank to start and expand their business. The ceremony was held on 24^th October 2013 at the CCIY auditorium in Jaffna. Mr. Harin Malwatte - CEO of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Sanjeewani Ranasinghe De Silva – Head of Corporate Affairs of Standard Charted Bank, Mr. Sivanandan – Country Head of Audit of Standard Charted Bank and Mr. Pooranachandran – Chairman of CCIY awarded the loans to the 25 selected young entrepreneurs.
