YBSL has arranged a training of trainers
workshop at Hambantota on 10th December 2013 for volunteer mentors
of YBSL Hambantota in order to educate the volunteer mentors on new stands of
YBSL mentoring. Over 20 selected mentors
have participated in the event.
YBSL has restructured and piloted
mentoring programme in districts of Ampara and Vavuniya early of this year as
trial and error basis. Thus, best practices are being spread in other regional
operations and mentoring component of YBSL has become very stronger in Sri
Lanka. On the other hand YBSL Hambantota
programme known as Hambantota youth business programme (HYBP) has been
implemented very successfully by Hambantota Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) since
1997. Thus, new inputs are being implementing in order to strength the
mentoring component of Hambantota.
